Merry Christmas everyone! This is our last Christmas just the two of us! We are excited for the third member of our family to join us very soon! He or she will be here before you know it! We hope that everyone has a wonderful year in 2008! We can't wait to see what God has planned for us this year. 2007 has been a very eventful year! Hugs to everyone!
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

First picture!
Well, we had our first doctor's appointment today and saw the baby for the first time! Everything went well and looked good. I'm due February 22, 2008 and I can't wait until the baby is here! There's only one (no twins!) and we won't be able to find out the sex for another 10 weeks. We still don't know whether or not we want to find out, but we have lots of time to decide! Hope the picture makes sense! The bigger circle is the head with a little arm below it and then the bottom. It might be too small to tell, but it's healthy and happy!

Baby on Board!
If you haven't heard (which I'm pretty sure all of you have)... WE'RE PREGNANT! Hoffman baby is on its way and due the beginning of February 2008. We're excited and anxious and can't wait to meet him... or her. Our first ultra sound is Tues. July 24th. Can't wait to share more good news as more details unfold.

Beautiful!
Well, today Josh and I went to Burney falls with my mom and brother. It was absolutely beautiful! A couple people recommended going there this weekend... so... we went. It took a while to get there (1 hour through a winding mountain hwy) but when we got there we had a nice picnic lunch and did a scenic hike to the waterfall. It was so nice to see how beautiful our world still is. I didn't want to leave!
Hope you enjoy the pictures... they don't do the falls justice though!

So different...

This last Wednesday our church had a worship night and a BBQ. We were really excited to go because we didn't really know anyone yet and wanted to meet more people. They BBQ'd a pig, some beef and hot dogs. Of course, on the way there we thought, "Yeah, it should be good!" But when we got there, as you walk to the back where the BBQ was, the first thing you see is the pigs' head staring at you with no eyes and floppy ears. I immediately got a hot dog, some pasta and fruit and headed to the benches. Of course Josh tried some and said it was good. But seeing the front and end of the pig still, you know, there, almost made me lose my appetite. I have seen pig roasts at the LA County Fair before, but they always looked fake and they just stayed on the spit. This pig was in a large pan, already half gone, and waiting to be picked apart by our loving Christian family. Yum, yum, yum...
With that, we both looked at each other and thought the same thing...
Goodbye Southern California, and welcome to Northern California Josh and Margie!
In all seriousness though, we love how different it is up here. We love living in the "country" and away from the "city folk" and hope to adjust quickly to all the differences! We had a great time and are looking forward to the BBQ next month!

Ewww, sweat sweat sweat...
Well, it's happening. The famous Redding heat wave is slowly coming in to town. Last Friday and today I subbed for PE. Not my favorite subject to sub for anymore. It's the most grueling class to sub for. Unlike me, Josh was lucky enough to sub for a first grade class on Friday that went to the community pool (which is covered for crying out loud, so no worries about burning) and the whole class took swimming lessons! How cute is that? No fair, he got to swim and I got to sweat... hmmm. Even with my huge hat, I was sweating bullets... and it's only going to get hotter. I was re-applying suntan lotion between every class. One kid said I smelled like a pool. I wanted to punch him in the face. Why did we move here again? Maybe we'll make a random visit to a cooler place sometime soon! I miss winter...

Calling all friends and family...
After being here for only 2 months, we have come this realization... you all need to move up to Redding. We know you are comfortable where you are at, but here are some reasons why Redding is such an ideal place to move to...
1. You will be closer to us
2. No smog
3. No traffic
4. You are closer to us
5. 10-30 minutes away from fishing, hiking, camping, snow, mountains...
6. Affordable housing... great for first time home owners!
7. Friendly people (seriously, the nicest people live up here)
8. Great retirement community
9. Wonderful place to raise a family
10. Best chance you have of seeing your friend/son/brother (Josh) and friend/daughter/sister (Margaret) and future grandchildren, nephews, and/or nieces!!!
We're not leaving, sorry everyone! We love it up here too much. We get a little lonely, but we know that God will provide us with wonderful friends! We are also closer to Josh's family, which has been so nice. We will do our best to visit, but most likely only in the summer when it hits 115 degrees up here and on holidays! So come up and visit us so that you can see why we moved here! You are all welcome anytime!!!
Hugs and Love!
P.S. If you come up to Redding, you too could catch a butterfly... there are bugs everywhere!
